Rovinj is a coastal city situated in the western Istria. As such, it represents one of the many yacht charter bases. Besides Rovinj, other Croatian charter bases are Pula, Split, Sibenik, Biograd, Zadar, Sukosan, Trogir, Dubrovnik and others. So if you plan to spend you holiday sailing, whether you choose a sailing or a motor yacht, Rovinj is an exellent starting point thanks to its natural beauties.

The ACI marina Rovinj is situated only 1 km from the city center, near a small shipyard. The marina is surrounded by a pine woods and it is protected from strong winds by the island of Saint Catherine. It is open all year round. It has 380 moorings in the sea (which also include mooring facilities for Megayachts and superyachts) and 40 moorings on the land. The moorings are equipped with electricity and water hook-ups. The marina has the following facilities: a reception, exchange office, toilets and showers, repair shop, crane, parking for cars, grocery store and nautical equipment store. There is a gas station is 500 m from the marina and it is situated in the northern part of the port.

There is one more marina in the vicinity of Rovinj (5 km in direction north). It is the marina Valalta which is situated in the Saint Felix cove at the entrance of the bay of Lim. This marina is part of the nudist center. It is open only during summer. The marina contains a reception, access to water and electricity and a self-service store. It has 180 moorings in the sea and on the land and it is ideal for smaller sport boats and bigger yachts. The guests also have at their disposal showers and toilets and a crane.
